Candice is an Associate at Levitt LLP, bringing over 15 years of experience in Labor and Employment law and Civil Litigation to her practice. Originally from South Africa, she holds an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand and has practiced as both a Barrister and Solicitor. Candice moved to Ontario in December 2022, where she has continued to build on her extensive expertise in areas such as wrongful termination, constructive dismissal, harassment, human rights issues, and labor disputes.

Having represented a diverse range of clients, including employers, employees, and trade unions, Candice has developed a well-rounded perspective on workplace law. She has appeared in South Africa’s High Courts, Superior Courts, and the Constitutional Court, as well as the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Known for her expertise in mediations, arbitrations, motions, trials, and legal research, she has successfully resolved hundreds of disputes, always with a focus on achieving fair and just outcomes for her clients.

Candice’s dedication to social justice is also evident in her pro bono work with SASLAW (South African Society for Labor Law), where she volunteered at the Labor Court in South Africa, offering legal advice and assistance to her community. This commitment to supporting the community continues to influence her practice in Ontario, where she remains passionate about advocating for clients facing challenging workplace issues.

Outside of her legal practice, Candice is an avid endurance runner and outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities such as hiking, skiing, horse riding, and cycling with her family. She is also passionate about watercolor painting and crafts. Colleagues affectionately call her the “dragon slayer” due to her determination and tenacity, both in and out of the courtroom.
