Sydney Michael

Articling Student

Sydney is currently an articling student at Levitt LLP. She holds a Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) from the University of Toronto, following the completion of her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

During law school, Sydney was actively involved in the Free Legal Advice Group (FLAG), a pro bono clinic that provided legal support to individuals from underserved communities. Through this work, she advised clients on employment matters and various civil disputes, developing strong advocacy and client management skills.

Before joining Levitt LLP, Sydney gained valuable experience as a legal intern at a personal injury law firm, where she supported senior counsel on complex litigation files and expanded her expertise in representing individuals pursuing personal injury claims. Sydney’s academic foundation began at the University of Ottawa, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Social Science in Conflict Studies and Human Rights with a Minor in Public Administration. During her undergraduate studies, she collaborated on a comprehensive peace proposal addressing a long-standing international conflict, which enhanced her analytical thinking and refined her legal writing abilities.

Outside of her legal pursuits, Sydney enjoys travelling, coaching, and playing soccer, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
